YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE CHIROPRACTOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE

As with anything, the number of treatments can vary case by case. When you are in pain, chiropractors are trying to accomplish several things: eliminate your pain, restore proper function or movement to the injured area, and make sure you have the necessary strength and mobility to stay healthy moving forward.

In some cases, all of these goals can be accomplished in a short course of treatments; however, for traumatic injuries or conditions that took years to develop, getting muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons to respond to treatment may take a series of regular appointments that involve hands-on treatments. In other words, your body needs to adapt. Sometimes, a quick fix such as taking a series of pills is not an option.

On a side note, some people, including many athletes and people who do repetitive activities, choose to regularly visit chiropractors for “maintenance care.” Most do so because they find that consistent visits help them find and address tight muscles and joints before they become painful or inhibit their lifestyles and favorite activities.
