MEET THE DOCTORS

Dr. Joseph Freeman, Dr. Rachel Steiner Freeman, and Dr. Chase Rogers

Dr. Joseph Freeman

        Dr. Joseph Freeman was raised in Centreville, Alabama and is a graduate of Bibb County High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science from The University of Alabama in 2009. During this time, he helped as an assistant coach of The University of Alabama men’s wheelchair basketball team. While playing sports growing up, he experienced back pain which began to hinder him from playing to his full potential. He decided to see his hometown chiropractor for treatment and after a few visits, his back pain was gone. He always knew he wanted to work in the health field, but after witnessing and experiencing positive results, Dr. Joseph chose to pursue his studies in the chiropractic field. He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida and graduated with his doctorate in March 2014. During his education he became specialized in numerous techniques including: Gonstead, Thompson Drop, Graston, and Pettibon. Dr. Joseph treated a wide scope of patients in clinicals such as athletes, children, and the elderly. Dr. Joseph is also fully certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association which is specific to expecting mothers and aligning the pelvis that allows for optimal fetal positioning. He is the only doctor in a 25 mile radius of Tuscaloosa with this certification. He spent many weekends treating patients at sporting events including local 5k’s, Tai Kwando tournaments, and United States Tennis Association matches. He also volunteered at a women’s rehab center, helping those battling addiction. While in chiropractic school, Dr. Joseph met Dr. Rachel Steiner and they were married on October 11th, 2014. On March 30th, 2017 they welcomed their first born son, Briggs Jeffrey Freeman. In Dr. Joseph's spare time he enjoys working out, boating, watching football (ROLL TIDE!), spending time with his family and friends, attending Safe Haven church, and relaxing with his wife and two sons. Dr. Joseph’s goals are to teach his patients the chiropractic principles, establish healthy habits into their daily lives, and build their own wellness future. Dr. Joseph’s favorite thing about chiropractic is that he can help guide individuals to maximize their God given potential when there is no interference of the nervous system.

Dr. Rachel Steiner Freeman

        Dr. Rachel Steiner Freeman was raised in Northeast Ohio and graduated from the University of Akron in 2009 where she majored in Exercise Science/Pre medicine. While applying to chiropractic school following graduation, she taught at the high school she graduated from and coached volleyball and track. During this time she also was an American College of Sports Medicine personal trainer at a local gym and helped a variety of clients with many different health goals including weight loss, strengthening, and improving overall quality of life. After shadowing numerous physical therapists, physician assistants, and chiropractors, she was led to pursue an education in the chiropractic field. She witnessed great results in patients with the doctors she followed and felt she could greatly contribute to the profession. Dr. Rachel graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida in September 2014. During her schooling she became specialized in numerous techniques including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson Drop, Graston, and other soft tissue techniques. During her clinical experience at Palmer she treated a wide scope of patients including high school, college, and Olympic athletes, expecting mothers, children, and elderly patients. She was involved in care plans of those with various health conditions including chronic ear infections, diabetes, heart problems, obesity, and cancer to name a few. While in chiropractic school, she met Dr. Joseph Freeman, which lead her to the Alabama area. She married Dr. Joseph on October 11th, 2014. Dr. Rachel resides in Tuscaloosa and enjoys exercising, being outside, cooking, spending time with family and friends, watching sports (Ohio State & Alabama), and enjoying life with her husband and two sons, Briggs and Bodie. Dr. Rachel is a member of Women's Junior League of Tuscaloosa, Safe Haven church, and Young Professionals of Tuscaloosa. She serves on the Tuscaloosa Half Marathon committee and writes for the local newspaper. Dr. Rachel is also a registered medical examiner for the Department of Transportation and can perform DOT/CDL exams in the office. She is fully certified in the Webster Technique which is a method of analyzing the pelvis of an expecting mother that allows for optimal position for birth. Dr. Rachel believes that the body has the power to heal itself when there is no interference to the nervous system. She hopes to educate her patients about the importance of chiropractic care to prevent dysfunction and to understand the importance of a healthy diet and exercise. Mostly, she hopes to motivate her patients to lead a happy, healthy lifestyle that will allow them to appreciate the greatness of an optimal functioning self-healing body.

Dr. Chase Rogers

 Dr. Chase Rogers was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama but moved at an early age and was raised in LaGrange, Georgia. He is a graduate of LaGrange High School. For his undergraduate studies he went to the University of Alabama and received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2017. While living in Tuscaloosa as a student he was first a patient at Freeman Chiropractic. This sparked his interest in the chiropractic field. During Dr. Chase’s senior year at Alabama he completed a yearlong internship at Freeman Chiropractic. Dr. Chase always wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field but wasn’t sure exactly what route he wanted take. His experience and internship at Freeman Chiropractic made him realize the amazing benefits that chiropractic care can provide the body to naturally heal itself and perform at its optimal function. Dr. Chase graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in September 2020. During his time at Palmer he became proficient in several chiropractic techniques such as Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, and soft tissue. He often was involved in the Motion Palpation club at school which focuses on the abilities to diagnosis joint dysfunction within the spinal column and extremities. During his clinical experience in school he treated a wide range of patients of all ages with various complaints and health conditions. On a personal note, Dr. Chase married his high school sweetheart Ansley and they have 2 boys, Brady and Henry. Some hobbies Dr. Chase enjoys includes spending time with family and friends, exercising, watching sports, coaching his son’s sports teams, and traveling to new places. Dr. Chase looks forward to becoming more involved in the Tuscaloosa and Greensboro communities. His goal is to help every patient he sees reach their full potential and live their lives as healthy and pain free as possible.
